This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Pay Details: $80.00 to $95.00 per hour

About The Role
As a Senior Structural Design Engineer at PDS Tech Commercial, you’ll play a critical role in designing and implementing structural solutions for advanced business jets and specialized mission platforms. Your expertise will help resolve complex build issues, support flight test programs, and deliver engineering excellence that shapes the future of aviation.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate design-build issues and develop structural engineering and instrumentation installation solutions.
- Author temporary engineering instructions to resolve build issues promptly.
- Disposition aircraft non-conformances and provide rework instructions (MRB).
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines, Quality Assurance, and manufacturing teams to resolve drawing and build discrepancies.
- Design and release structural and systems installations for Special Missions Engineering.
- Define structural special instructions or restrictions for flight test and mission-critical modifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR compliance).
- Expertise in Special Missions or Aftermarket modifications.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Minimum 15,000 hours on CATIA V5 with proficiency in:
- Assembly Design
- Part Design (Boolean Operations)
- Aerospace Sheetmetal
- Tubing Design
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Experience with Kinematics and Electrical Harness Routing in CATIA V5.
- Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM experience.
- Background in aircraft manufacturing or modification programs.
