What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper position at PDQ ACCOUNTING & TAX SERVICE LTD?
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have Quickbooks online experience as well as Desktop and will be open to learning other accounting software platforms. You must be proficient with Excel and adobe, and have a working knowledge of standard office equipment.
3 - 4 days per week depending on work load. Potential to move to full time with remote access after the tax season.
Preferably, you live in the Traverse City Area with a commute of 45 min. or less each way.
Duties
- Data entry and account reconciliations for multiple accounting clients.
- Assist with payroll processing and reporting for multiple clients.
- Special projects and reports in Excel and Adobe.
- Assist with response letters to Federal and State Tax entities.
Qualifications
- Quickbooks Online - Quickbooks Desktop.
- Proficiency with Excel and Adobe.
- Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and accrual accounting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
