JOB SUMMARY:
As a Helper, you will be accountable for helping with any general Access Control duties.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an motivated Access Control / Security Integration Field Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will punctual and have some technical and mechanical abilities. They will be able to work fluently with assigned Technician and follow instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn how to install, program, and service access control systems (e.g., HID, Mercury).
- Learn how to install and configure security cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and video management software.
- Learn how to wire and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5/6, composite cable, etc.).
- Learn how to mount and connect electronic door hardware (maglocks, strikes, electrified locks, request-to-exit devices, etc.).
- Learn how to perform system testing, commissioning, and customer training.
- Learn how to troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment and wiring.
- Learn how to read and interpret Floor Plans, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Learn how to maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system configurations.
- Follow company safety procedures and industry standards (OSHA, NEC, NFPA, etc.)
- Other Duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 80lbs.
- Ability to work in various weather elements.
- Ability to use various hand tools
- Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and team members.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers.
- Ability to stay out of town for a week at a time if the project requires.
