Architectural Designer (5 Years Experience) | Houston, TX
PDG Architects is seeking an Architectural Designer with five years of professional experience to join our Houston office.
Since 1982, PDG Architects has provided architectural planning and design services for commercial, industrial, higher education, religious, government, and institutional clients. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in producing quality work, and wants to contribute throughout every phase of the process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural drawings and project deliverables from schematic design through construction.
- Develop coordinated, accurate construction documents using Revit.
- Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants.
- Participate in field verification, site observations, and construction administration.
- Assist with project schedules, permitting, and consultant coordination.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and clients to deliver successful projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Five years of experience with an architectural firm.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in pursuing Texas architectural registration.

Location: Houston, Texas
This position requires regular in-office collaboration, local project meetings, and site visits. Applicants should reside in the Houston area or be able to reliably commute.
