The Production Specialist ensures that all production goals of assigned product parts meet or exceed customer expectations in regard to PCX Enfield's business goals including but not limited to; delivery, sales, margins, inventory, EH&S, and quality. Will monitor value stream metrics from input of raw material to shipment to customer. Responsible for preparing shipments to customers/suppliers and receives and unloads incoming material to ensure that the parts' flow meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Prepare shipments for conveyance to customers and suppliers.
- Coordinates the receiving and unloading of incoming materials.
- Deliver and unload finished parts customers and vendor sites.
- Perform necessary warehouse tasks in conjunction with deliveries such as pulling, assembling orders and loading/unloading delivery truck as needed.
- Perform in-processing packaging such as outside Processing, and final shipment packaging.
- Perform OSP and miscellaneous receipts utilizing ERP system.
- Review and assess production scheduling characteristics and Level loading to Line of Balance
- Set up appropriate lot sizes based on quoted process
- Generate Sales Plan and execute production and delivery to sales and shipping plan
- Maintain status of all parts and communicate commitments to production staff and overdue recovery plans to customers
- Assist in machine scheduling
- Obtain status and expedite all parts
- Supply ship dates to customers
- Monitor and expedite outside processes
- Work with Purchasing Manager to align material coverage to Line of Balance and appropriate lot size, and gain material commitments on any overdue items
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of shipping and packaging procedures.
- Working knowledge and ability to operate powered motor equipment i.e. forklift, pallet jack, crane etc.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic that shows a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, safety and productivity.
- Possess solid mathematical and English skills.
- Ability to follow instructions; responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; and, completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
- Demonstrate strong cross-functional communication skills and good analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment that requires the ability to handle multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and work with customers and the employees at each level of the organization.
- Understand customer/ supplier relationships along with internal and external customers.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or comparable work experience
- A minimum of 5 years' direct experience in Production Control, preferably in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Extensive experience using MRP/ERP
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other PC based computer systems.
