Overview
Production Test Technician ensures that RF-based electronics products meet performance specifications; test products to meet shipment schedules; debug and repair of field returned products to the component level.
Job Functions
- Calibrates, tests and configures electronic products according to production procedures and sales orders
Performs test operations from written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision - Performs hardware debug of failed circuit boards; troubleshoot to component or board level
- Set up and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic test and / or repair equipment
- Ensure test yield and repair data is captured
- Provides feedback to management on any potential quality issue
Educational/Training Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, or similar, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years related work experience
- Intermediate understanding and troubleshooting digital, analog and RF electronics
- Intermediate experience with conducting tests on electronic equipment and on software applications
- Intermediate experience in the use of test equipment such as power supplies, multi-meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes
- Ability to read schematics, data sheets, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials and rework documents
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System a plus
- Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite
Physical Requirements
- Regular use of keyboard
- Regular walking, standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
- Frequently works in an area that may include drafts, noise, temperature variations etc.
- Able to lift/carry up to 30lb
- Minimal travel required
