Rate: $18.00-$32.00 (Based on interview and experience)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Control Panel Builder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing PCBs and electrical control panels used in various industrial applications. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical assembly, and manufacturing standards to ensure the production of reliable and compliant panels. The ideal applicant will possess technical expertise in electrical wiring, component installation, and quality assurance processes, contributing to the efficient delivery of high-quality control panels.
Essential Functions:
- Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately assemble control panels.
- Install electrical components such as circuit boards, relays, switches, and connectors following IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
- Wire electrical components and systems using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) components and through-hole components with precision.
- Verify electrical connections using testing equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality.
- Assemble mechanical parts of panels, including mounting enclosures and securing components with mechanical knowledge.
- Perform quality inspections based on IPC 610 standards to ensure compliance with industry specifications.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools for precise component placement and alignment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review schematics and troubleshoot wiring or assembly issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety standards are consistently met.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
- Experience with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly and soldering techniques.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards such as IPC 610 for electronic assemblies.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in assembly, machining, and use of hand tools.
- Ability to work with surface mount technology (SMT) components effectively.
- Competence in electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and testing using ohmmeters or similar devices.
- Mechanical knowledge related to panel enclosure assembly and component mounting.
- Skilled in using calipers, power tools, power screwdrivers, and other relevant equipment.
- Electrical experience including working with schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems.
