What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant (MA) - Bilingual Spanish Preferred position at PCP for Life?
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting providers and patients in a busy outpatient primary care clinic, including patient intake, vital signs, exam room preparation, and accurate charting. This position is often the first clinical contact a patient has. Many of our patients are Spanish speaking, so bilingual medical assistants make a real difference here.
The ideal candidate is a certified medical assistant (CMA or RMA) who stays accurate under pressure, shows up consistently, and wants to grow in healthcare, whether that means advancing to a scribe role or building toward nursing or medical school. We have cared for Houston's diverse communities since 1992, with 10 clinics and still expanding.
