Responsibilities
- Implements action plans to drive a positive HSE culture and improve the quality and effectiveness of core HSE programs, HSE Management Systems and programs.
- Provide field HSE support for designated events and projects as directed by your HSE supervisor.
- Demonstrate a commitment to establishing and meeting HSE performance targets and generate ideas for continuous HSE performance improvement.
- Understand and manage the hazards and risks associated with your role and other risks that can impact our organizational objectives.
- Evaluation of hazards, exposures, and general impacts associated with operation of process equipment, facilities, and projects including large-scale construction within an existing facility.
- Completion of technical documentation and training and support for operations/field personnel in regulatory/policy compliance
- Development and implementation of plans, programs, and procedures guiding regulatory compliance, proper and safe operations, and prevention of undesired consequences.
- Preparation and submission of internal and external reports and related documentation, including formal presentations to small and large groups.
- Identification and qualification of outside resources and services.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations, field audits and other incident causation and prevention activities.
- Participate in emergency planning and response activities.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related technical field or foreign equivalent.
- 18 years of age or older and able to work in Houston, TX
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check and substance abuse test conducted by a third party
- Understanding of internal project quality assessment process.
- Demonstrates planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability
- to multitask and prioritize own work.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Level 1 (US IND).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
