We are seeking a full-time Communication Strategist III to support NASA's Biological and Physical Sciences (BPS) communications team in the areas of outreach and digital media strategy. This role reports to the Program Manager and is hybrid.

- Oversee the development and implementation of the BPS team’s public outreach and engagement strategy, working in close coordination with the Science Mission Directorate’s Engagement Branch.
- Oversee the development, and implementation of the BPS team’s social media strategy, working in close coordination with the agency’s Office of Communications.
- Support publications of BPS content on NASA websites
- Develop and implement creative social media campaigns that drive engagement and growth. Manage social media channels on a day-to-day basis, as well as the social media editorial calendar.
- Ensure digital content is Section 508 compliant.
- Provide metrics and trending reports for all activities
- Foster relationships with science-focused content developers, engagement specialists, and organizations and other influencers outside NASA.
- Bachelor's degree
- Ten years of relevant social media, web, and outreach experience, ideally at a science organization.
- Proven experience in social media content development, community management and developing and implementing social media and web strategies.
- Proven experience in public outreach settings
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, analytics tools, and emerging trends in digital media, as well as knowledge of social and web analytics tools.
- Extensive knowledge of Section 508 requirements.
- Excellent editorial judgment, copywriting skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Salary : $125,000 - $127,000
