As an Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the financial success of the resort. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you’ll oversee daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional service to both guests and vendors. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative leadership will contribute directly to the financial health and operational excellence of the Grand Hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Operations & Oversight: Support the Director of Finance in the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes.
    Reporting & Reconciliation: Review daily financial reports, assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
    Forecasting & Planning: Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly forecasts, and assist in developing budgets and operating statements to support the hotel’s financial goals.
    Month-End Close & Audits: Collaborate with the finance team to complete month-end closings on schedule and support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
    Guest & Vendor Relations: Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, ensuring high-quality service and resolution of issues with accuracy and care.
    Expense Management: Assist in controlling department expenses to meet or exceed budget expectations, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
    Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and support accounting associates, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment built on respect and teamwork.
    Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to all company financial policies and procedures, safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of financial information.
    Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial performance.
    Guest Satisfaction & Service Excellence: Maintain a professional presence across departments, supporting the Grand’s culture of “hospitality with heart & soul.”

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
    • Previous accounting or finance experience in hospitality or related industry strongly preferred.
