As a Production Planner I NC 1st Shift at Piezotronics, Inc., you will be an entry-level planner focused on foundational planning tasks, system navigation and supporting production execution. Additional Duties
- Schedules and releases Job and Transfer Orders using the ERP based on demand signals and available production capacity.
- Confirms material availability prior to releasing orders; communicates with purchasing to resolve any shortages or delays.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to adjust schedules and maintain optimal inventory levels based on real-time shop floor feedback.
- Maintains planning data accuracy in ERP including due dates, order modifiers and item status fields.
- Communicates effectively with purchasing, engineering and production to ensure alignment on priorities and constraints.
- Demonstrates consistent accuracy in ERP data entry and order management with minimal errors.
- Proactively identifies and resolves minor planning issues such as material shortages or scheduling conflicts.
- Understands and applies basic APICS principles including MRP (Material Requirements Planning) logic, inventory control, and demand planning.
- Shows initiative in learning ERP workflows, participation in training, and engaging in cross-functional coordination.
- Understands personal KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and can explain how their performance contributes to team and departmental goals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in a production planning/manufacturing environment or related role. Strong a to analytical communication, time-management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of Planning Systems and Microsoft Office applications. Proficient in basic data entry.
- Travel Requirement: As needed
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in a production planning/manufacturing environment or related role. Strong a to analytical communication, time-management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of Planning Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
