The Tomahawk Mill is currently seeking resumes for a Purchasing Buyer.
Principle Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of process flow, including purchasing, receiving, accounts payable, etc.
- Process purchase requisitions
- Ensure compliance with all PCA purchasing policies (quotes, bid waivers, use of corporate suppliers, etc.)
- Review for vendor issues (inadequate insurance, conflicting T&M vs LS) prior to PO issuance
- Verify contract POs contain the appropriate clauses and legal language
- Follow up on open purchase orders and expedite as needed
- Review and document order acknowledgements
- Manage the clothing and rug rental contracts
- Assist with the annual blanket PO process-quotes, approvals, PO issuance
- Communicate with requisitioners and vendors as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma, some post-secondary education preferred
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- This position is on-site at the Tomahawk, WI mill and is not remote or hybrid
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be detailed oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills
- Experience in vendor negotiations
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Starting salary range for position: $65,000 - $80,000
- Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

- Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
