Lead Installed Sales Service Technician (Windows & Doors)

PC Lumber & Hardware is looking for an experienced Lead Installed Sales Service Technician to handle advanced window and door service needs while providing field guidance and technical support to other technicians.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, communicates well with customers, and can confidently diagnose and resolve complex service issues.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair complex window and door service issues
• Replace glass, sashes, screens, hardware, weatherstripping, and other components
• Explain service findings, completed work, and product care to customers
• Document repairs, measurements, photographs, parts needs, and recommended next steps
• Support technicians with difficult diagnoses, repair methods, and parts identification
• Review service documentation and selected workmanship for accuracy and quality
• Conduct field quality checks and help reduce repeat service visits
• Lead ride-alongs, hands-on training, and onboarding for service technicians
• Coordinate with sales, installers, vendors, and internal service teams
• Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, equipment, and commonly used parts
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience handling complex window and door service issues with limited supervision
• Experience with residential construction, installation, remodeling, finish carpentry, maintenance, or warranty service
• Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools
• Ability to coach coworkers and clearly explain technical decisions
• Professional communication skills and confidence working in customers’ homes
• Strong diagnostic, measurement, documentation, and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company fleet-safety requirements
• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience training field technicians and manufacturer training related to windows, doors, glass, hardware, weatherproofing, or installation quality is preferred.

Schedule and Travel

This is a full-time, daytime field-service position. Start and end times may vary based on customer appointments and business needs. Regular local and regional travel to customer homes and jobsites is required using an assigned company service vehicle.

Physical Requirements

This position involves standing, walking, climbing ladders, kneeling, crouching, using tools, and working indoors and outdoors in changing jobsite conditions. The role may require lifting or moving heavy and bulky window and door components, including occasional loads of 100 pounds or more, with appropriate assistance or equipment.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
