This position strengthens business development efforts across the firm by supporting pursuit teams, building scalable processes, and enabling consistent, data driven revenue growth. As a core member of the Practice Growth team, this role works closely with colleagues across marketing, communications, industry teams, and service lines. The Business Development Manager partners day to day with firm leaders to align business development strategy with broader growth initiatives, while equipping partners and teams with the insights and tools needed to pursue the right opportunities at the right time.This role blends strategy, analysis, relationship building, and technology. The successful candidate will bring strong Salesforce expertise, comfort using AI based tools, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple teams and locations.

- Partner with firm leaders to support business development strategy, pursuit planning, and opportunity qualification.
- Prepare and coordinate pursuit materials, presentations, and meetings to support client and prospect opportunities.
- Maintain accurate pipelines, dashboards, and referral tracking to support data driven growth decisions.
- Serve as the firm’s Salesforce CRM expert, ensuring data quality, adoption, and meaningful reporting.
- Conduct market and prospect research to support strategic opportunities and informed decision making.
- Collaborate closely with Practice Growth, Marketing, Communications, industry teams, and service lines to ensure aligned messaging and execution.
- Support referral network activation by tracking activity and equipping partners with actionable insights.
- Apply AI powered tools to improve research, analysis, and pursuit preparation, following firm policies and ethical standards.
- Identify and recommend improvements that modernize business development processes and improve efficiency.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in business development or sales within a business to business professional services environment.
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced experience with Salesforce CRM, including reporting, pipeline management, and data governance.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in accounting, consulting, or advisory services.
- Familiarity with business development practices used in professional services firms.
- Salesforce certification or equivalent advanced experience.
- Hands on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot to support research, analysis, and content creation.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, including lead handoff, campaign tracking, and pipeline reporting.
