What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Clerk position at Payette County Clerk's Office?
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs a variety of routine and complex clerical tasks, processes a wide range of cases brought before the district court, performs clerical duties in court for the District Court Judge, and perform clerical duties for the Payette County Clerk’s office.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Will be trained primarily by deputy clerks.
NECESSARY SKILLS: The ability to accurately perform multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced environment which will include working in a professional manner with the public, law enforcement and other personnel interdependent with court systems; receiving and precisely account for money; answering the telephone, computer data entry; and all other duties assigned by supervisors. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and ethical standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be required to lift or move up to 25 pounds; work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions; requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks.
TASKS: The tasks are not limited to but include a variety of physical activities, occasionally involving muscular activity, such as lifting, and bending. Attention to detail, ability to solve problems and multi-task.
WAGES: $17.50 per hour or more DOE.
