The Role
The Picking Clerk is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Picking Clerk is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. The Picking Clerk is responsible for accurately picking products from warehouse inventory according to customer orders, packing or staging merchandise for shipment, and maintaining an organized and safe work area. The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The picking clerk reports to the Shipping supervisor, manager or Director of Operations for work assignments or any additional tasks. This is a fast-paced warehouse environment involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. The position may involve working around forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and other warehouse equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and review customer or production orders for accuracy.
- Locate products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Pick merchandise according to order specifications.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, sizes, and descriptions before picking.
- Use handheld scanners, pick lists, or warehouse management systems to process orders.
- Move products using carts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as authorized.
- Package, label, and stage completed orders for shipping or delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory and report shortages, damaged products, or discrepancies.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
- Assist with loading, unloading, stocking, and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Complete other warehouse tasks as needed
- Other duties are defined by the Shipping Supervisor, Manager or Director of Operations

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to read and count accurately
- Complete basic mathematics
- Detail oriented
- Ability to use a pallet jack
- Ability to multi-task and work at a quick pace
- Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
- Ability to accurately follow directions
- Ability to work in a group setting as well as independently
- Understanding of basic warehouse principals
Physical Requirements
