Pawsh Pet Salon and Boutique is a pet grooming and pet supply business located in Bayfield, CO. Our knowledgable and professional work in a fast-paced environment while providing highest quality dog grooming services in the area. We are looking to expand our current team to reach our vision of being the premier pet groomer in La Plata County. The ideal candidate is someone that has a passion for pet care and enjoys working with animals.
Responsibilities:
- Bathe and groom pets according to client specifications and breed standards
- Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression as needed
- Brush and comb pet's fur and hair to remove tangles and mats
- Ensure pets are comfortable and safe during the grooming process
- Monitor pet's health and report any abnormalities to their owner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including the grooming room and retail shop
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and answering client questions
- Answer phone calls, check voicemails, return calls, and book appointments
- Sell merchandise from our retail store such as dog and cat food, toys, treats and other pet supplies
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as nneeded
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand for 8 hours
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as a pet bather or in a related field
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques, animal restraint, and dog training methods
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with pet owners
- Basic knowledge of animal care and grooming techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
