Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Handle dogs with care and confidence, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Conduct pet assessments to determine grooming needs, health concerns, or special handling requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and sanitize tools regularly to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming procedures, aftercare instructions, and any health concerns observed during grooming
Experience
- Prior dog grooming experience is required ; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and canine behavior management
- Familiarity with pet grooming tools, animal restraint methods, and kennel procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting of animals and equipment safely throughout the day
