What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier / Barista position at Pavé NYC?
Pavé NYC, Midtown staple French Bakery/Cafe is looking for a Service Personnel to join our team!
We are looking for someone who can start as a cashier, understand the guest flow, run food, bus tables and learn and/or adapt to our way of making coffee, and learning/selling alcoholic beverages.
We have a slim team and intend on keeping it small. We average about 350 transactions on a daily basis. Tips are added in addition to the hourly wage (averages around $10/hour).
We are looking for someone who is reliable, comes to work with a smile on their faces, and someone who doesn't shy away from hard day's work.
We always look to hire for a long term. Upon hiring, everyone is expected to work through different stations (register, pass, dining room floor) before trained on the fundamentals of coffee, beer and wine.
Applicant should have a hospitality first mindset while being able to navigate through all the different personalities coming through the door. Opening shift starts at 6:30AM, with a closer's shift ranging from 830AM (Mon/Fri) and 1230PM (Tues-Thurs). Each shift is from 7 to 8 hours each day.
We believe in putting smile on our faces while we welcome, engage and multitask through morning and afternoon rushes.
We believe in using common sense solutions for solving everyday problems.
We believe in promoting from within for any position that opens up in the future, and believe in working together with a long term vision.
We believe in cultivating positive-minded humans with a 'can-do' attitude and will always take attitude over ability with an aim to bring up the ability over time.
An applicant must be able to work Sundays and be able to work approximately 40 hours a week.

We do not consider any application without a cover letter.
