Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, give correct change, and balance register drawers at shift end.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, cups, lids, napkins, and cleaning materials to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow food safety guidelines during beverage preparation and food handling to uphold health standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or café environments with barista experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and register balancing.
- Skilled in beverage service techniques including drink preparation and serving with attention to detail.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Time management skills to handle busy periods effectively without compromising service quality.
