The Technology Solutions Program Manager leads innovative electrical projects from concept to completion, focusing on specification, design, engineering, consulting, peer review, and construction management. This role ensures energy efficiency, power quality, and operational effectiveness in critical facilities across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead and manage electrical technology projects from initiation through commissioning.
- Ensure project safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Maintain open communication with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Develop detailed project schedules and manage timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Facilitate weekly subcontractor and Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Coordinate permitting processes and jurisdictional requirements.
- Oversee submittals, approvals, and procurement of materials.
- Manage project turnover, budget development, and change order tracking.
- Ensure proper job setup with the superintendent, including site maps and information sheets.
- Collaborate with accounting to initiate job numbers and track costs.
- Establish and manage labor cost codes and budgets.
- Perform monthly cost-to-complete analysis and attend financial review meetings.
- Verify subcontractor invoices and maintain accurate job costing.
- Estimate and negotiate change orders with clients and maintain change logs.
- Quality & Safety Oversight
- Conduct job walks to ensure safety compliance and installation standards.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for PPE usage, site cleanliness, and productivity.
- Take ultimate responsibility for site safety audits and corrective actions.
- Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and follow-through.
- Resolve project issues and escalate concerns to upper management when necessary.
- Review project scope and progress with clients weekly.
- Participate in project closeout meetings and provide required documentation:
- O&M manuals, Warranty letters, Spare parts, Insurance documents, As-built drawings, Systems training
- Nudge existing clients for additional up sales
- Work with sales team to bring on new clients and projects
- Train and mentor project managers and field staff.
- Identify and support future leaders within the organization.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.
