The Opportunity
We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base across residential, commercial, and industrial markets out of our Newmarket, NH office. You'll be the face of Paul White Company to contractors, designers, and businesses — presenting our full range of flooring and countertop products, understanding what each client actually needs, and delivering solutions that win their trust and their repeat business.
What You'll Do
Sales Development
- Identify and pursue new customers through networking, cold-calling, and referrals
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads
- Present and demonstrate our product lines — hardwood, laminate, carpet, tile, vinyl, and countertops
Account Management
- Cultivate lasting relationships with existing customers to drive satisfaction and repeat business
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for questions, concerns, and project support
Market Expertise
- Stay current on flooring trends, products, and innovations
- Track competitor activity and market shifts to keep your approach sharp
Client Solutions
- Assess project needs and recommend the right products and solutions
- Provide accurate quotes and support clients through project planning
Reporting & Planning
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Keep CRM records and sales reports current and accurate
Collaboration
- Coordinate with our installation and delivery teams for smooth, on-time project execution
- Partner with marketing on promotional events and campaigns
What You Bring
- Proven outside sales experience — flooring, construction, or home improvement background preferred (3 years)
- Working knowledge of flooring products, materials, and installation is a strong plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own schedule and territory
- Comfort with measurement and estimating fundamentals
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular travel
A Day in the Life
This role is on the road — visiting customer sites, showrooms, and trade events — with some office time for planning and reporting at our Newmarket, NH location.
