Paul, Weiss is looking to hire an E-Discovery Support Specialist to join the E-Discovery Support Department, supporting various aspects of the litigation support process. The E-Discovery Support Specialist will report to the E-Discovery Support Director and work closely with business professions and legal staff throughout the firm.
The E-Discovery Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the e-discovery needs of case teams and implementing the firm's best practices relating to e-discovery and matter workflow.
- Providing first level phone and email support to advise and assist firm personnel
- Responding to daily e-discovery tasks and requests submitted by case teams and the electronic discovery project management team
- Importing electronically stored information (ESI) into e-discovery and case management applications
- Ensuring quality of files loaded into and exported from e-discovery and case management applications as well as conducting quality checks of productions prepared by the firm’s vendors
- Preparing production of ESI to outside parties
- Preparing and copying electronic media
- Supporting data transfer projects from firm and vendor FTP sites
- Participating in development and testing projects for new tools or modifications to existing ones
Qualifications
- Familiarity with the litigation discovery process
- Familiarity with standard litigation support and document review software and vendors
- Able to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Able to communicate effectively with firm personnel and clients
- Committed to deliver the highest quality service to internal and external customers
- Able to access, input, analyze, and retrieve information from various computer applications and to learn and utilize new applications on an expedited basis
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Relativity certifications preferred
- At least one to three years of e-discovery/litigation support experience
Work Requirements:
- The hours for this role are Tuesday – Friday 4 PM – midnight (EST) and Saturday 11 AM – 7 PM (EST). Hybrid remote/on-site during normal working hours and available off-hours when necessary; a flexible schedule is required
- Ability to engage in off-site travel as required to meet job demands and firm needs
- Required to monitor and respond to email and phone calls after hours and weekends
Salary:
$60,000 - $75,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
