As an In-House Tradesman, you’ll complete a variety of repair and reconstruction tasks on residential projects, such as drywall, painting, trim work, and light electrical or plumbing. This role focuses on quality workmanship, reliability, and teamwork. What Does an In-House Tradesman Do at Paul Davis?
- Help customers restore their homes after fire, water, storm, or other damage
- Complete residential repairs such as drywall, painting, trim, and basic electrical or plumbing
- Take pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members with a sense of urgency and empathy
Job Responsibilities
- Perform drywall installation and repair, including taping, mudding, sanding, and surface preparation
- Complete painting and finishing work such as priming, painting, and staining
- Install and repair trim, molding, and other finish carpentry
- Prepare and clean surfaces to ensure high-quality, long-lasting results
- Perform repairs on properties affected by water, fire, smoke, or mold damage
- Inspect work to ensure it meets quality, safety, and company standards
- Safely use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials
- Provide excellent customer service throughout each project
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Experience with drywall, painting, and trim work preferred
- Comfortable using tools and equipment related to construction and finishing work
- Understanding of basic safety practices and procedures
- Willingness to work on-call or outside of regular hours as needed
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work nights/weekends and overtime, if needed
