What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development and Emergency Response Manager position at Paul Davis Restoration, Inc.?
The Opportunity
Paul Davis Restoration of Northwest Connecticut is growing, and we are looking for a driven Business Development Manager / Emergency Recovery Coordinator to help generate new business across our market.
This is a hybrid role combining outside business development, relationship management, and emergency-response lead generation. During normal business hours, you will build relationships with insurance professionals, property managers, business owners, commercial facilities, and referral partners.
When significant fires or property losses occur, you may also respond as an Emergency Recovery Coordinator, helping affected property owners understand their next steps while identifying restoration opportunities for Paul Davis.
This is not a desk-based marketing role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the community, meeting people, developing relationships, prospecting, and generating revenue.
What You'll Do
Drive New Business
- Build relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, property managers, business owners, facility managers, and commercial property owners.
- Develop referral partnerships with plumbers, HVAC companies, roofers, electricians, realtors, and other professionals.
- Prospect through calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, in-person visits, and scheduled meetings.
- Develop commercial Emergency Response Plans and preferred-vendor relationships.
- Attend local networking, industry, and community events.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects, accounts, and referral partners.
- Track opportunities, referrals, and activity in our CRM.
Respond to Emergency Opportunities
- Monitor designated sources for significant fires and property-loss opportunities.
- Respond to qualifying losses when appropriate, including some evenings and weekends.
- Represent Paul Davis professionally with homeowners, business owners, property managers, adjusters, and other stakeholders.
- Educate potential customers about the restoration process and Paul Davis services.
- Help convert qualified opportunities into restoration projects and transition them to our operations team.
- Participate in an emergency-response/on-call rotation with management support.

- New referral and commercial relationships
- Revenue from self-generated opportunities
- Emergency losses converted into projects
- Consistent prospecting and follow-up
- CRM and pipeline management
- Growth of recurring referral sources
