Reports to: Lower School Principal & Head of School
Hours: 1.0 FTE, Exempt
Responsibilities/duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provides individualized and small group targeted and strategic literacy intervention
- Conducts, scores, and interprets literacy assessments
- Collaborates with reading specialists, classroom teachers, and principal
- Provides in-class support to classroom literacy blocks
- Provides coaching to teachers around literacy practices
- Assists with the coordination of school-wide literacy efforts
- Supports wide reading across the K-5 building
- Provides assistance to family engagement activities that promote literacy
- Serves on literacy RTI team
- Plans, provisions, and reflects on lessons
- Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Principal
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university required
- Valid Rhode Island Teacher Certificate required
- Elementary Education Teacher, Grades 1-6
- National background check (after offer)
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Salary : $45,636 - $85,955
