BCBA - BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT DAY PROGRAM

Position Summary:

Job Title: Behavior Consultant (BCBA) - Los Angeles Region

Pay: $65-68 per hour

Job Type: Part-time with possibility for full-time

Expected hours: 10-20 per week

Patient demographic: Adults

Work Location: Los Angeles Region (hybrid) – Inglewood, CA

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Behavior Consultants (BCBAs) to fill multiple openings across several Behavior Management Day Programs serving adults with developmental disabilities, autism, and related behavioral needs. This role requires availability between Monday through Friday (2 days minimum) between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with flexibility in daily scheduling during these hours based on program needs; some off-site work (e.g., documentation, data review, report writing, meetings) is permitted. Behavior Consultants provide direct behavioral consultation within day program settings, including assessment, development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), staff guidance on behavior support strategies, data review, and collaboration with program teams to promote safety, independence, and improved quality of life. Regular in-person presence at assigned day program sites is required, along with timely documentation and ongoing interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure ethical, effective, and client-centered services.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct behavioral assessments using standardized evaluation tools, direct observations, and interviews. Provide clear, concise, and relevant notes to support informed decision-making and intervention planning.

Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify behavioral patterns and develop hypotheses about the reasons behind specific behaviors. Apply behavioral analysis techniques in the context of environmental, social, and psychological factors.

Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Design individualized BIPs based on behavioral assessments and data analysis. Collaborate with clients, caregivers, support staff, and professionals to set targeted goals for behavior modification.

Implementation & Training: Guide clients, caregivers, and support staff in implementing behavior modification techniques outlined in intervention plans. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on effective strategies for managing behaviors.

Monitor Progress: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of BIPs by collecting and analyzing data. Make data-driven adjustments to interventions as needed to ensure positive outcomes. Track progress toward established goals and objectives.

Documentation & Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress reports, and special incident reports in compliance with regulatory standards. Prepare and provide initial, semi-annual, annual, and discharge reports as required.

Collaboration & Consultation: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including program administrators, behavior support staff, psychologists, educators, and healthcare professionals. Assist in developing integrated treatment plans and participate in annual Individual Program Plan (IPP) meetings.

Clinical Support: Receive and integrate constructive feedback to improve service delivery. Address case-related concerns promptly and maintain effective communication with vendors, families, and other professionals to resolve issues.

Additional duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: A Master's degree is required.

Licensure/Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification

Experience: At least two years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Experience in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and conducting assessments. Report writing is a requirement for this role.

Skills: Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles, data collection, analysis, and report writing. Proficiency in behavioral assessments, behavior modification techniques, and trauma-informed care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel to client sites.

Work Environment: This role involves a combination of telehealth and regular travel to various client sites, including behavior day programs. The position requires flexibility, as travel between locations is essential to providing personalized, hands-on behavioral support.
