Salary: Commensurate with years of full-time teaching experience. Service credit is awarded on a year-by-year basis, with a maximum of 20 years recognized. (Certified Teacher Salary Schedule 2026-2027)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Designs and delivers reading curriculum aligned with district goals, objectives, and instructional standards.
- Provides high-quality instruction using appropriate instructional materials and strategies to maximize student learning and instructional time.
- Establishes and maintains a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports whole-group, small-group, and individualized instruction.
- Monitors and assesses student progress on an ongoing basis and adjusts instructional methods to meet individual student learning needs.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and timely records of student achievement, progress, and attendance in accordance with district and building procedures and policies.
- Implements and enforces school and district behavior expectations to promote a positive and effective learning environment.
- Builds and maintains effective communication with students and parents/guardians to encourage family engagement and support student success.
- Collaborates with colleagues and other staff members to support instructional goals and student learning.
- Participates in faculty meetings, professional learning communities, and district/building initiatives.
- Engages in ongoing professional development through seminars, workshops, meetings, and research to remain current with educational best practices and instructional methodologies.
- Bachelors or masters degree from an accredited college or university.
- Missouri Special Reading K-12 certification
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Travel Requirements
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.

- Ability to use learning software applications as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians.
