Salary
- $18.09/hr - $30.89/hr
- Pay Grade I310
- Pay rate is determined based on years of experience, on a step per year basis (Hourly Support Staff Salary Schedule)
- This is a 9.5 month position, 7 hours per day - 87.50%
- Monday-Friday
- Ability to organize and prepare classroom lessons and materials
- Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, and procedures used in teaching
- Desire to work with and educate children
- Ability to motivate others, be creative, flexible, and patient;
- In order to work under the direct supervision of an appropriately certified teacher to provide instructional assistance, paraprofessionals are require to:
- Obtain 60 college credit hours, or
- Have passed the ParaPro Assessment (before September 23, 2013) or
- Have passed the Paraprofessional Assessment through Pearson (September 23, 2013 through June 20, 2024) or
- Have passed the ParaPro Assessment through ETS (July 1, 2024 forward) or
- Completed the 20HR Substitute Certificate Course
