Front of House Manager

Job Type: Full-time

The role of a front of house manager to oversee the operations of a restaurant's dining room. They are responsible for ensuring that customers are satisfied with their dining experience, managing staff, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining room.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and seating customers in a timely manner
• Overseeing the overall dining room experience for customers
• Handling customer complaints and resolving issues
• Managing the restaurant's reservation system
• Hiring, training, and scheduling staff
• Ensuring that all employees comply with health and safety regulations
• Monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the dining room
• Creating and maintaining a positive work environment for staff
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining room

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food and beverage service
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Proficiency in computer skills, such as using reservation and inventory software
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
