What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Patterson Ripplinger, P.C.?
Patterson Ripplinger, P.C., a busy litigation law firm located in Greenwood Village and Colorado Springs, has an immediate opening in our Colorado Springs office for an experienced Paralegal with an emphasis on insurance defense litigation. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a
history of significant responsibility for a broad range of litigation support activities.
Qualifications
Two plus years of paralegal experience. Paralegal certificate required for our clients.
Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings.
Organizing and managing documents, coordinating the collection, review, and production of
documents and responding to discovery requests.
Assist with trial preparation, including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders and
appendices for depositions and court filings.
Summarize deposition transcripts.
Draft medical chronologies and Medical Bill Summaries.
Draft initial disclosures, retained expert witness disclosures, and non-retained expert
witness disclosures.
Research case-related factual issues using in-house files and outside reference sources.
Experience in drafting, cite-checking legal briefs.
Experience managing medium to large-scale document productions.
Legal research and investigative skills.
Strong working knowledge of federal and state court procedures.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, CaseFox, and legal practice software.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and produce an accurate and high-quality work
product.
