Key Responsibilities:
Production Leadership-
- Lead daily production activities to ensure production schedules are met.
- Ensure adequate staffing and efficient workflow throughout the shift.
- Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Quality & Food Safety-
- Monitor product quality, packaging standards, and production processes.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA regulations, and food safety requirements.
- Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
Operational Performance-
- Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including productivity, labor efficiency, cost per pound, and product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Administration-
- Coach, develop, and motivate production associates.
- Enforce company policies related to safety, attendance, and performance.
- Manage employee scheduling, timekeeping, and training compliance using workforce management systems.
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced, labor-intensive manufacturing environment.
- Experience in poultry, meat processing, food manufacturing, or similar high-volume production operations.
- Ability to work in a cold, wet production environment.
