The Manager of IT Operations is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, service delivery, and daily technical operations. This includes managing cloud and on-premises environments, SaaS platforms, the IT Service Desk, and end-user support. The Manager ensures operational excellence, system reliability, and alignment of IT services with business needs.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership, operational management, and team oversight to deliver high-quality IT services that support the company’s growth, innovation, and compliance objectives.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (required).
ITIL certification (required).
Additional certifications such as ITSM, COBIT, ISO/IEC 20000, Agile, Scrum, or Six Sigma (strong plus).

Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s IT operational plans in alignment with business goals and transformation initiatives.
- Lead and manage IT operations across service delivery, cloud infrastructure, and the IT Service Desk.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for team members, fostering a high-performance and service-oriented culture.
- Oversee enterprise infrastructure to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Support management of the IT operating budget, including vendor negotiations, expense tracking, and cost optimization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and business agility.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ensuring adherence to SLAs and contract terms.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, data privacy, and cybersecurity requirements in collaboration with the security team.
- Lead or support cross-functional technology projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Support IT governance through change management, risk assessments, documentation, and performance reporting.
- Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs and metrics to measure operational performance and service delivery effectiveness.
- Oversee hardware, software, and technology asset inventory and life-cycle management.
- Address legacy system challenges by implementing modern, scalable SaaS and cloud-based solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Perform other duties of a similar level and responsibility as required.
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (required).
ITIL certification (required).
Additional certifications such as ITSM, COBIT, ISO/IEC 20000, Agile, Scrum, or Six Sigma (strong plus).
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT operations or infrastructure management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a management or team leadership role overseeing technical staff.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT systems across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise technologies.
- Experience with SaaS and public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with SaaS applications, system integration, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with ITSM tools, project management systems, and automation platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and operational improvement.
