About the Company
Our sewn product development company has been growing for 35 years. We turn customer designs into finished products through pattern development, sampling, and production. We create small runs of about 200 pieces per style and work with both knits and wovens.
Position Details
We are seeking a full-time sample sewer for our development team. Tasks include cutting fabric patterns, sewing garments from start to finish using multiple industrial sewing machines. The sample sewer is responsible for documenting all production steps, recording machine settings, and timing operations for costing purposes. After gaining familiarity with the sample's production and quality, the sample sewer is responsible for overseeing the garment's in-house production with other industrial sewing operators.

Responsibilities
- Operate various sewing machines with precision to assemble garments according to specifications and patterns
- Follow detailed sewing instructions and quality guidelines to ensure consistent product standards
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring all items meet quality requirements before packaging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sewing area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimize workflow efficiency
- Assist in troubleshooting machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
Qualifications
- Proven experience in garment construction or sewing, with a strong understanding of sewing techniques and processes
- Hands-on experience operating sewing machines in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing workflows and quality control procedures
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, patterns, and instructions accurately
