Certified Operator (Trainee)

We are looking to hiring a Certified Operator (Trainee) to join our team maintaining essential water and sewer systems. This is a hands-on, stable career opportunity with paid training toward required certifications—prior existing certifications are a plus but not required to start.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect and maintain state-of-the-art water treatment plant, public water supply wells, and sewer pump stations
- Assist with water & sewer line repairs and installations
- Conduct water meter readings and installs
- Detect leaks and respond to service issues
- Operate equipment (utility work trucks, dump truck, backhoe, power tools)
- Perform basic maintenance, snow removal, and field work
- Support safe work zones and traffic control
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Outdoor work year-round
- Rotating weekends, on-call, and emergency response required
- Overtime available (time-and-a-half)
What You Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
