Production Scheduler

Manages production schedules for individual departments as well as a high level schedule for the manufacturing plant in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring each department has accurate and coordinated schedules, clearly defining what needs to be accomplished including start and stop dates.  The goal is to maximize throughput and minimize operating cost and inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the production schedule for all departments
• Monitors and adjusts production standards as required to ensure accuracy throughout the production schedule
• Monitors capacity in all departments and routinely reports out current capacity as well as forecasts future workload 
• Micro monitors staffing and throughput of any resource constraint (bottleneck).  Reports all variances to plan and provides summary reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Develops status tracking tools for all critical production orders
  1. Develops status tracking tools for all non-recurring projects. Develop Status tracking tools such as Gantt charts or Microsoft Projects with standard move and queue time.
• Ensure job schedules in the ERP system accurately reflect what needs to be accomplished.
• Periodically monitors accuracy of data in the ERP system looking at quantity and frequency of clocking errors

Requirements:

• Production scheduling and/or project management experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling software preferred
• Applicant must be a U.S. Person
• Strong critical thinking skills required
