What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Estimating Development Program position at Patriot Machine Inc?
Summarizes requirements of Requests for Quotation and reviews with Estimating Manager, Vice President or other delegate. Full-time, hourly, day-shift position.
Responsibilities:
- Read customer requests for quote and set up proposals to meet customer requirements
- Review customer requirements, parts lists, CAD models and other engineering documentation
- Data entry of Bills of Material for quote
- Request and obtain supplier quotes for material, hardware, processing, subcontract, and shipping
- Maintain an organized system for working on multiple quotes at the same time
- Work within ERP system to search and review data, as well as input information into the system Summarize all information into standard format
- Prepare files and review with Estimating Manager and Vice President
- Work with others as a team to submit proposals on-time to customers per customer format requirements
- Provide superior, prompt customer support
- Serve as customer liaison during quoting, work with Estimating Manager to answer customer requests
- Assist in reviewing and approving customer purchase orders and change orders
- Support internal functions in reviewing purchase orders, implementing new orders and re-orders
Requirements:
- BA/BS/AS degree, equivalent experience, or Certifications
- Skilled in using Excel
- Long-term interest in Estimating
- Long-term interest in aerospace manufacturing
- Applicant must be a U.S. Person
- Interest in CAD software a plus, Engineering or strong math aptitude is preferred
- Metal fabrication experience a plus
