What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Manager position at Patriot Machine Inc?
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Manager to oversee our shipping and receiving operations, crate-building department, and transportation logistics.
This position will be responsible for coordinating the safe and efficient movement of materials and finished products while managing a team responsible for shipping, receiving, and custom crate construction. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and hands-on experience working with trucking companies, freight carriers, and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily shipping and receiving activities
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight to ensure accurate, timely deliveries
- Verify shipments against purchase orders, invoices, bills of lading, and other documentation
- Ensure materials are properly received, inspected, labeled, staged, and stored
- Ensure outgoing shipments are accurately packed, documented, and loaded
- Maintain accurate shipping/receiving records
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, damages, shortages, and delivery issues
- Track shipments and communicate delays or changes to internal teams and customers
- Manage the daily operations and workflow of the crate-building department
- Monitor lumber, hardware, packaging materials, and other crate-building supplies

- Review freight bills and shipping documentation for accuracy
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with trucking companies and transportation providers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Logistics preferred
- Applicant must be a U.S. Person
- 3-5 years’ related work experience
- Strong attention to detail
