What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Patriot Machine Inc?
Prepares detail and shop aid drawings of machined parts and assemblies from engineering data, general design drawings, or sketches.
Responsibilities:
- Performs CAD modeling functions to create accurate solid models of machined parts, assemblies, or fixtures
- Creates detail drawings from CAD solid models, showing all dimensions and tolerances required to produce high quality parts, following Patriot Machine and industry standard practices and techniques
- Creates assembly drawings from CAD assemblies, showing and identifying all detail parts and hardware, and showing all applicable location tolerances and any other information required by assembly workers to produce accurate part or tool assemblies
- Creates paper or Mylar hardcopy of detail or assembly drawings, and submits them to supervisor for approval
- Creates tool design drawings from 3-D assembly submitted by Tool Design Department. Modifies drawings as directed by supervisor
- Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities
Requirements:
- 2-4 Years Trade School, Vocational Education, work experience, or apprenticeship
- Applicant must be a U.S. Person
- Experience with NX/Unigraphics and/or CATIA is a plus
- Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience is a plus
