Compensation: Will be determined based on candidate's relevant experience, demonstrated qualifications, industry knowledge, and sales performance potential. The compensation package will consist of a combination of base salary and performance-based incentive compensation.
Job Description:
Patina Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. We are an established construction firm that has seen steady growth since being founded in 2019, and we are looking for a talented and motivated individual to help us continue to scale. As an estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates/proposals for both residential and commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate and consult perspective clients and maintain a premier brand image in regards to customer service.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as materials, labor, and equipment, to prepare detailed and comprehensive estimates.
- Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project requirements.
- Prepare and submit proposals and bids to clients, ensuring that they are complete, accurate, and competitive.
- Evaluate and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure that they meet project requirements and are cost-effective.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in both residential and commercial construction.
- Thorough understanding of construction operations and how to effectively set project managers up for success at the contract stage.
- Familiarity with Planswift or equivalent software for estimating.
- Thorough understanding of how to read drawings and local building codes.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
