Delaware North’s Patina Group is searching for a Catering Operations Manager to join our team at Patina Event Catering in Los Angeles, California. Our ideal candidate is a detailed-oriented individual with extensive background in event planning, managing logistics, teams, scheduling, budgets and event execution to create exceptional experiences for our guests.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $68,640 – $88,400 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. What will you do?
- Partner closely with clients, guests, and catering staff to produce exceptional events that drive referrals and positive public opinion.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all catering events from start to finish and ensure the highest quality of product and service throughout.
- Manage the customer decision and relationship process.
- Organize the necessary banquet, kitchen, and service staff and arrangements for each event.
- Maintain an excellent track record of budgetary management and exceeding guests’ expectations.
- Document and review all records for each catering event and analyze what can be done to improve booking sales.
- Facilitate repeat and new business for catering functions.
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of food, wine, and spirits while marketing our brand.
- Develop effective presentations both verbally and in writing where ideas, opinions, recommendations, and conclusions display strong understanding and expertise in the sales process.
- Design and deliver appropriate catering menus by collaborating with clients and chefs.
More about you
- A minimum of three years of catering management and operations experience in a fine dining venue is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related preferred.
- Experience in food preparation, inventory and cost control, scheduling, and purchasing.
- Excellent customer service orientation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make decisions.
- Must be familiar with standard food and beverage equipment.
- Ability to work event hours, including some holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
