About the Role
The Accounts Receivable specialist will manage revenue cycle for home health and hospice services administered through multiple electronic health records platforms.
The AR specialist will ensure timely claim submission, maintain accounts receivable, and manage denied claims. The AR specialist will also organize and manage all home health and hospice payors.
This role will require a strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong ability to independently research payor materials, and the ability to communicate effectively between administrative and clinical staff. The AR specialist must be able to investigate and solve complex claim issues.
Responsibilities
· Verify patient Insurance and Eligibility
· Manage payor set up across multiple Electronic Medical Records systems
· Obtain and reconcile authorization across multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
· Organize and log documentation related to patient billing and payer communication
· Identify and resolve billing items for reimbursement
· Monitor Revenue Cycle Management
· Monitor aging A/R reports
· Resolve denied claims and posting payments
· Understand Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance guidelines.
· Adhere to all state, federal, and CMS regulations. HIPAA / Compliance
Requirements
· Experience: 1-2 years in home health/hospice billing or medical billing (Preferred)
· Experience with home health/hospice EOBs and ERAs
· Knowledge: Medicare & Medicaid billing, ICD-10/CPT Coding
· Proficiency: Ability to work in multiple EMR systems
· Microsoft office applications: Excel, SharePoint, Teams
· High attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams
· Skills: Effective communication, Strong Analytical and Mathematical skills
· Ability to work hybrid, on-site, and remotely
· Pass Level II Background Check (On-Hire)
Pay: $24.53 - $29.54 per hour
