Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled X-ray Technologist to join our team at Patient First in Pasadena, MD. Our patient-first approach ensures a friendly and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain high-quality x-rays using correct positioning and radiation exposure techniques.
- Implement safety procedures to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure for patients, staff, and self.
- Create and document x-ray CD copies according to Patient First guidelines, labeling images and sleeves correctly.
- Understand and operate x-ray and processing equipment efficiently.
- Familiarize yourself with the bell system and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment.
- Utilize daily logs, x-ray listings, copy listings, and x-ray status screens effectively.
- Clean and maintain work areas, adhering to OSHA guidelines and other maintenance assignments.
- Receive, move, and restock ordered supplies promptly.
- Adhere to established Patient First policies and procedures.
- Respond respectfully and timely to physician and nurse requests.
- Complete tasks listed on checklists for the x-ray area and treatment area.
- Attend scheduled training classes and staff meetings.
- Be available as needed, with breaks and mealtimes potentially interrupted for patient care and center operations.
Requirements:
- Age: At least 18 years old.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Key Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, keyboarding experience, and proficiency in medical software.
- Certifications: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed to practice as a Radiologic Technologist by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
