**Patient First - X-ray Technologist Opportunity**
We are seeking a highly skilled X-ray Technologist to join our team in the Germantown, MD area. Patient First offers a supportive work environment that fosters a collaborative approach to patient care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Obtaining high-quality x-rays by utilizing correct positioning and radiation exposure techniques.
- Implementing safety procedures to minimize unnecessary exposure to radiation for patients, self, and staff.
- Creating and documenting x-ray CD copies according to Patient First guidelines, ensuring accurate labeling and storage.
- Maintaining x-ray equipment and understanding its proper use.
- Familiarity with wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment to ensure patient safety.
- Utilizing automated medical records system and daily logs to manage patient information.
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas in accordance with OSHA guidelines and performing other maintenance tasks as directed.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Has keyboarding experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses one year of clerical experience (preferably) and/or clinical experience (preferably).
- Is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Hold a license to practice as a Radiographer by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
