Job Summary
Working under the direction of the Director of Family Development, the Verification Compliance Specialist is responsible for participating in the verification process of Foster, Foster/Adopt, Kinship, PTFFC, and Adopt only Homes while meeting the program objectives, standards, and policies of the agency and state requirements. The specialist will collaborate and communicate with all staff in providing quality assurance as mandated by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Minimum Standards guidelines set forth by the various state agencies. Ensures all recordkeeping information is concise, accurate, and complete.
Essential Duties:
- Ensures all documentation has been obtained and in compliance with DFPS Minimum Standards, contract requirements, and policies and procedures in order to issue verification in CLASS.
- Prepares licenses for the homes for upload in eR as well as sends the license to the verified family.
- Reviews all addendums to ensure compliance as well as submit addendums and closing summaries in CLASS.
- Prepares amended licenses for uploading in eR. Ensures changes are made in all necessary data fields to ensure file accuracy for both newly licensed and amended licensed homes.
- Maintains historical data for CPA, including homes that have been licensed, closed, etc.
- Compiles monthly compliance reports from eR and sends them to pertinent staff members.
- Assist Home Development with training orientation, pre-service, and EBIT. May assist in providing training during staff transitions.
- Assist with following up on inquiries as needed by contacting inquiries by phone and email, helping to get them registered with orientation, sending them an application, and answering any questions they may have.

Work Hours: Part-time (including late hours and/or weekends as needed).
Classification: Non-exempt.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or at least three to five years CPA experience working in a role that requires knowledge of Texas Residential Licensing Minimum Standards and Residential Contract Requirements.
- Prior CPA experience strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements
- Proof of valid Texas Driver’s License (Type C) and at least three years of driving experience.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Proof of valid/current auto insurance.
- Cleared motor vehicle driving record.
- Three employment references.
- Cleared background check and signed affidavit.
- Cleared tuberculosis (TB) test results (current within 12 months prior to employment).
- Cleared drug test.
- Working cellular telephone at all times.
