Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will CDL/truck driving experience, knowledge of the FMCSR and CDL manual. This position reviews files to ensure commercial motor vehicles and motor carriers are in compliance with the federal regulations and truck driving standards.
Duties
- Monitor and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of workplace practices to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs related to truck driving safety.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance status and incidents, including root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with management to create policies that promote a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting the manufacturing industry.
- Facilitate communication between departments regarding compliance issues.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of FMCSR regulations.
- Experience truck/bus driver.
- Proficient in report writing and documentation practices.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading freight, principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis for truck accidents.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey compliance requirements.
