Job Summary
Pathways to Life, Inc. is opening a brand-new Group Home, and we are seeking an experienced Residential Facilities Director to lead the full start-up, licensing, and operational launch. This role will build the program from the ground up and oversee all aspects of residential operations, staffing, compliance, and program quality.

Key Responsibilities
Start-Up & Program Development
Lead the start-up, licensing, and opening of a new Group Home.
Develop operational systems, policies, workflows, and staffing structures.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, leadership, and regulatory agencies.
Program Oversight
Manage day-to-day group home operations once open.
Conduct regular site visits and ensure facilities remain safe, clean, and compliant.
Maintain compliance with NC licensing, health/safety regulations, and service definitions.
Staff Leadership
Recruit, hire, and train Group Home Managers and residential staff.
Provide supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Ensure all staff training and certifications are completed and maintained.
Resident Support & Care Coordination
Oversee implementation of PCPs, behavior support strategies, and crisis plans.
Act as a liaison with DSS, MCOs, clinicians, medical providers, and guardians.
Respond to crisis situations and support staff in behavioral interventions.
Compliance & Documentation
Prepare for audits, inspections, and state regulatory reviews.
Ensure accurate documentation of resident records, staff files, and incident reports.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Management, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in residential or behavioral health settings.
2 years of supervisory or management experience.
Knowledge of NC group home licensing and regulatory requirements.
Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background and drug screenings.
Preferred
Experience launching a new residential or behavioral health program.
Master’s degree in Human Services or related field.
NCI/CPI, CPR/FA, or Medication Administration certification.
Experience overseeing multi-site programs.
