What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Pre-K or 1st/2nd teacher for Christian homeschool program position at Pathways Enrichment Program?
Seeking an engaging and experienced part-time teacher for Pre-K/Kinder and 1st/2nd grade class. We are a Christian hybrid classical model homeschool program. In-person instruction is taught Tuesdays and Fridays from 9-2:30 pm as well as preparation of monthly lesson plans for at-home days.
Preferred candidates will have a strong Christian faith, Bachelor's degree in a related field, a teaching certification as well as previous teaching experience in the grade levels desired.
Duties include:
- Providing in-person instruction for students on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9-2:30 pm. Lessons will include hands-on activities, science experiments, multi-media etc. to engage students in the learning process.
- Creating and implementing monthly lesson plans for the core subjects of Bible, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies following pre-selected curriculum.
- Communicating with parents to keep them up to date on assignments, class expectations and students’ progress.
- Provide some outdoor supervision for recess breaks.
