Plant Manager Expectations and Principle Accountabilities
Short Term Objectives:
· Ensure Production Equipment is in working order and required maintenance is performed daily.
· Ensure all Materials needed for required production are available. Work with leads to see that any, and all needed Materials are available for completion of scheduled production keeping future schedules in mind.
· Ensure Staffing is appropriate for scheduled production work to be performed including review of Backlog to assure future staffing issues are addressed in a timely manner. This includes planning for employee vacations and other time off scenarios.
· Ensure Quality products are continuously produced to specification requirements.
· Ensure daily tracking and adherence to budget, adjusting short term plans to accommodate revenue dynamics.
· New Product Development: Ensure site wide commitment to successful launches of new product. Work with The New Product Development Engineers to achieve success.
· Productivity: Drive robust data gathering, analysis and distribution tools to support all measurable results;
· Monitor throughput in all Production areas to assure balanced productivity plant wide.
· Develop and Drive visual factory and “5S” tools, expectations and daily follow up
· Consistently apply Company and regulatory rules and policies. Where applicable, assist in developing new rules and policies.
· Drive a successful functioning of Health, Safety and Environmental programs;
· Sales Objectives: Set and facilitate plant-wide communication expectations, including daily, weekly and monthly requirements and closely monitor results.
· Promote employee development through proactive cross-training and job rotation;
· Ensure Production Scheduling is in line with quoted production rates thus minimizing costs and outside processing and testing charges.
· Work closely with General Manager to assure smooth day to day operations and all goals are met.
· Review Daily MRB and Scrap to assure any production or Quality issues are recognized and resolved in a timely manner.
Long Term Objectives:
· Lead site-wide development to better understand and effectively employ industry-standard concepts;
· Maintain a plant-wide customer-focused, continuous improvement program;
· Champion long-term, systematic continuous improvement of process capabilities and costs, while supporting zero defects, on-time delivery and cost competitiveness;
· Lead development of critical talent across the facility to ensure a cohesive and highly functioning team.
· Ensure specific profit improvement initiatives, both ongoing and new, including raw, WIP and finished inventory reduction, changeover time reduction and scrap/rework elimination.
· Ensure lean manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement and corrective action activities; Never Ending improvement projects.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
